Live Project - Dance Floor

So our client chose what he wanted for his music videos! Our group pretty much got two ideas chosen: Dance Floor and our Hot City Nights ideas. However the Hot City Nights idea is going to be for Ran Out Of Love instead. Our idea of the woman from the 80s and a modern day man were also chosen. So we had to pick one song for our group since we had two to pick from, so we chose Dance Floor since it was our strongest idea and we have more pre-production for it already.

We then had a group meeting to assign roles and talk about pre production and what needed to be done.

Roles are as follows: Sarah- director, Janice- producer, Ryan- camera op, Jack- camera op (we decided two camera ops since sound isn't a major role since it will mostly be the band's music), Beth- sound op, editor.

We then sent out a few virtual flyers and status' on social networks for auditions. Auditions are on Thursday and Sunday.

Looking good so far- Roller Derby are very enthusiastic, equipment booked out for auditions and a camera test on Thursday, shot lists done, storyboards in the process. One big thing to worry about now is costume. We can probably pick up some 80s clothes in a charity shop. I will discuss this with the team next lesson. Hopefully Mike will let us out to scavenge.
