I have decided to go beyond the call of duty and choreograph a small wand duel for the field scene and to make it more 'epic' (to make Di happy) and to also get Jamie experimenting with different visual effects.
Gartha
clenches her fist (CU). Her dialogue (Aaaaagh!). She thrusts her hand towards
Lerysa, who deflects it with her wand (see below).
Lerysa does some fancy flicks with her wand, flicking it
three times; once above her head, and twice straight towards Gartha.
We see Gartha block the final one with her arm across her
face. She reaches her arm out to cast another spell. Lerysa does the same with
her wand. Their lightning streams clash. We wait for about 10 seconds of them
struggling. Lerysa breaks the chain by raising her wand up high and they both
fly backwards.
Gartha gets up and casts a spell ball with her hands,
building the energy. Eventually, she releases it and screams at the same time.
Lerysa flies backwards.
Lerysa gets up and they both run towards each other. They
jump, giving the illusion of flying.
