Uniformed Services

Today me and Lee went down to Leeds to film for another client. I thought it would be associated with Wynyard Hall since Lee called the email group "Wynyard +" but how wrong I was. We went to the Barracks but Lee didn't realise there was two so we ended up going to the wrong one.

This is the wrong one but I didn't get a good picture of the proper one :-( Close enough.

The actual briefing of the video the clients want is for a company called “Learning Curve Group” that specialise in Pre Military Uniformed Services courses, in the Leeds Wakefield and Sheffield area. Part of the Uniformed Services Course programme involves the students visiting an army camp, and the video may assist in the recruiting drive, potentially seeing 30 to 40 students visiting Catterick Garrison for 48 hours taking part in various military activities. They asked for a promotional DVD to be our main publicity media (a 30 second advert and a 5 minute documentary).

Today we filmed interviews from 4 people on their first day and we will come back later in the year to see their progression. We also filmed a bit of their bleep test (I was exhausted just watching them). Even though we weren't supposed to film any activities until later in the year, we thought it would be wise to while we were here. This client may continue for our Live Project 2 module next year (or would be an extra project).
